Crete Gallery by D'Lynn Waldron, PhD copyright These photographs show some of the aspects of the traditional way of life through the seasons of the year on the Greek Island of Crete which I photographed in 1983-84. I have tens of thousands of Kodachrome slides of the scenery and traditional activities, in a way of life which disappeared with the passing of these elderly people I photographed twenty years ago. One of the things I did on Crete was to study the Minoan artifacts in the museum and then look for cultural continuities, and I found many. When I have the time, I will assemble that illustrated study and put it on this internet site.
